Going for the Most Competitive Keywords – Opinions
I was thinking yesterday about whether it’s actually possible these days to go for a single word, extremely competitve keyword and be successful (page one result or even top five). When you consider how long existing sites have been around and so have had time to generate links and become respected in their industry, it will not only be very difficult now but continue to be more so. It seems as though it might be a situation like trying to get a new property on Times Square in which the existing properties have been there so long and have so much power that it is nearly impossible to beat them to a spot!
A keyword that is relevant to me is "t-shirts" and thought that I would get other people’s opinions on these one word, ultra competitive keywords.
