This is the complete, no holds barred conversation I had with Drayton Bird.
Drayton is great to talk with because he has “been there, done that,” has nothing to sell, and has had so many real-life accomplishments in marketing that he has nothing to prove.
He just tells it like it is without complicating things.
How far up the tree is Drayton?
When David Ogilvy wanted to break into the market for direct marketing services in the UK, the only way he could get in was to buy Drayton out.
If you don’t know marketing, that’s like saying Michael Jordan tapped you for his team because he knew he couldn’t win the game without you. And like I said, Drayton is refreshing because
he tells is like it is.

P.S. Besides being sharp as a tack, Drayton is a lot of fun too.
